On November 15, 2023, William T. Timothy Shaffer, founding member of our law firm, passed away at 57.
“His unwavering commitment to treating every client with dignity profoundly shaped my own career and the values of our firm” reflects Christopher, R Shaffer, Tim’s son and fellow attorney.
He graduated from Stetson Law School in 1991 and quickly established himself as a formidable presence in the legal arena. Over his 30-year career, Tim personally filed thousands of bankruptcies, debt collection, and personal injury cases, profoundly impacting the lives of countless individuals across Florida.
Tim, as he was affectionately known, left this world peacefully, secure in his faith and surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, Tim's journey was marked by dedication, compassion, and a relentless commitment to protecting consumers.
“His unwavering commitment to treating every client with dignity profoundly shaped my own career and the values of our firm” reflects Christopher, R Shaffer, Tim’s son and fellow attorney.
His caring approach shaped our firm's ethos, focusing on affordable, effective legal representation and prioritizing the welfare of clients above all.
A man of faith, Tim served as a deacon at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Valparaiso, FL, before moving to Pensacola. His commitment to his faith was evident in every aspect of his life and work.
Beyond the office, Tim was known for his sense of humor and love for bluegrass music, photography, and Caribbean vacations. His colleagues remember him as a man who could lighten any room with his wit and warmth. His most cherished role, however, was that of a family man. A devoted husband to Kristy since 1992, a loving father to Sarah and Christopher, and an adoring grandfather, Tim's legacy of love and laughter will live on through them.
